Standing at 5'8" with pale white skin and some very noticeable features, Aria is quite the pretty young lady. She is relatively thin, though is average for her height and age. Her legs are long beneath her and her fingers are long, meant for using pencils and paintbrushes. Her hair, one of her distinct features, is pure black in color and reaches down to the back of her knees when it's not in a ponytail. She has bangs that almost reach to her eyes and has shoulder-length hair at the sides, never included in the ponytail. Her eyes are a unique shade of hazel-brown that can sometimes appear red in certain lighting.
In terms of clothing, she does have a favorite outfit that she is most often seen wearing, and it consists of an off-the-shoulder red shirt that is long-sleeved and looks similar to a light sweater, a pair of short black shorts, and simple red-brown boots. When the weather is too cold for this outfit, she usually wears an off-white striped turtleneck sweater with a long red scarf, a pair of black jeans, and black boots. One thing she does carry with her, regardless of weather, is a small black bag that carries a drawing pad, pencils, and colored pencils.

Personality
Aria is most often described as a very calm, quiet, and very focused individual. She isn't one to get overly worked up or excited, so she keeps her head about her in stressful situations. There are few times when she does get this way, but it has to be something super exciting or shocking to get a good reaction out of her. Now when it comes to talking, it really depends on the subject. She doesn't like small-talk or really boring conversations that won't go anywhere, so she will usually stop talking if something like that begins. But if you talk to her about something she enjoys or just something interesting, she will engage more. Though, sometimes it is difficult to get her to even pay attention to you if you catch her at a bad time. Once she begins working on something, such as a drawing or writing, she will completely zone out from everything around her and will focus only on her task. You really need to put in some effort in order to get her attention.
Something else that is noteworthy about Aria is the fact that she quite often relies on first impressions to determine how she will interact with someone. For example, if someone had approached her asking for help, she would be fully willing to help someone that was kind and polite rather than someone that was snarky or irritated. Once she has a general idea of you in her head, she will decide how she acts around you based around that. It is usually easy to become friends with her, or at least friendly acquaintances, but getting much more close to her takes more time and bonding.
Likes: Drawing, painting, writing, hot tea, rain, cats, sweets
Dislikes: Sports, makeup, dresses, sour food, seeing others get hurt

Before Aria was born, her biological mother and her presumed father had become very dysfunctional. They were happy for most of her pregnancy, but something went wrong towards the end of it and her husband up and left. As a pregnant woman with no job, not a lot of money, and not many noticeable skills for employers to hook on, she had depended on her husband to care for her and the baby.
When Aria was born, she didn't have anything wrong with her. She was a perfectly healthy baby. The only issue was money. Her mother hardly even had enough money to pay for the hospital bills. By the time she did just barely manage to take care of that, she had little to no money to buy anything for the baby. Not food, not clothes. Even her house couldn't be considered a proper home for a baby. It was Christmas and her mother couldn't be happier that she had her baby, but she knew she couldn't care for her. She wanted Aria to grow up in a place that could actually provide her with the care she needed. So on Christmas Eve she spent most of the day just hugging and holding baby Aria, happy half the time and crying the rest. As the day started to get dark, she went to the nearby Orphanage and talked with the owner. Thankfully, the owner was willing to take in Aria.
The owner of the Orphanage was a woman named Tory Vasilaki. Just like the other kids, Aria grew up in that Orphanage, went to school, and was a normal kid. But her life wasn’t overly joyful. A few kids at school found out that she had been “abandoned” at the Orphanage on Christmas and made fun of her for it. Because of this, Aria was often very depressed and kept to herself. When families would come to the Orphanage to try and adopt her, she was often rejected because she was very distant, didn't really talk, and sometimes wouldn't even show up to the meeting. Tory realized that getting adopted was really the last thing that Aria wanted. So, at 10 years old, Tory decided to officially adopt Aria as her daughter, putting her under her last name of Vasilaki.
After she became Tory's daughter, Aria started to improve a bit. She started to become a little bit happier and left her room more often. It was also around this time that she started to draw and write a lot more. She had always been a very artistic little girl and showed a lot of potential the more she practiced. She was always writing her own stories and drawing things that she saw around her, Pokemon included. She was always drawing pictures of people's Pokemon, sometimes even selling her drawings for a little bit of money.
As she grew older, Aria began to help a lot more around the Orphanage. She started taking care of the other kids that didn't have a family and sometimes even helped them get adopted. The closer that she got to the other kids, the more she considered them a part of her own family. Of course, Tory felt the same. So, even when the kids would get adopted, they all knew that they were family.
Aria loved her family and the life that she was making for herself. She had basically become Tory’s assistant at the Orphanage, she was starting to get commissioned for her drawing and painting from neighbors, and she was a lot happier. But Tory, despite loving having her adoptive daughter helping her, started to feel bad. Lots of other kids that Aria had been close to were leaving the Orphanage to go live with new families and start new adventures, while Aria had been stuck at the Orphanage all her life. So Tory started trying to convince Aria to go off on her own, start an adventure elsewhere, start her own business. Aria kept refusing, and for about a year the two of them went back and forth about it. Finally, Tory insisted and would not stop talking about it. Aria was 20 years old and had hardly left Pastoria in those 20 years. Breaking in, Aria finally agreed. Now she has come to Querencia in hopes that she can find the life that Tory wanted her to live. While she says she only came here because Tory wanted her to, she is also excited over the possibility of starting her own little business and living in this region.
